Books

I love reading. I crave reading. I have to read. The last book I read is The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson. It's about the Cholera outbreak in London in 1854. Very good book, interesting and compelling.

Now I am reading Under the Tuscan Sun again. I am going with my son and his art club to Italy next March, so I am rather in the mood to read stuff about and set in Italy. I also have gone so far as to add an Italian word a day to my homepage. So in fifteen or twenty years, I will be able to remember and use correctly at least a dozen words in Italian!

I did get a learn Italian set...it's still in it's case. Must get busy on that one. I don't expect to be fluent -- I am not great at other languages. But I like to have a little familiarity with the language before I go. People are so friendly when you attempt and generally slaughter a few words in their language.
