Haven't missed one so far, but blog.com is down right now, and I'll be heading out this morning, then again this evening, so I'm going to post something here.
Made the mistake of posting a comment on
Pharyngula yesterday. :( What a contentious crowd. Not only was I told my comment was off topic (asking for a definition of God in a discussion of atheism), but I was mildly flamed, accused of trolling, told I must be a Christian in disguise - yeesh! Eventually I realized that that particular blog-culture is based on arguement, not discussion. Makes for a very energetic conversation, but not one I'm up for.
Pissed me off for the entire day. Finally felt better by evening, went to a friends house and discussed what happened. Got sucked into an entirely pleasant discussion of quantum mechanics, religion and science, and was told that someone who did not show up last night had been really impressed by one of my blog posts, so that was good.
Oh, may as well come out and say it here, report cards came out Tuesday- the girls RAWK! Eldest pulled a 4.0, youngest got a 3.85. She was a little dissappointed, but I think she'll work through it. We're going out tonight for a family celebration.
Also, may as well push my husband's podcast.
The Secret Frequency is now online. This episode is a discussion between DH (former Co-Chair of the GPUS) and his sister (Democratic consultant), and it focuses on Republican presidential candidates. If you'd ever heard my husband and his sister talking about politics you'd know that's better than it sounds (they are pretty funny).
OK, that counts as something up for today. If I get a chance later I'll go back to blog.com and post either the yarn post (glow in the dark vs electric yarns) or the zombie post (just silly).
