Well, I made the yarn post yesterday, and Tuesday's dissappeared post came back. I've got a draft of the Zombie post saved for today (but I think I want to make a ringtone and add it before I post it)... and blog.com went down. AGAIN.
Right, so, something else to say here. Two current events stories which I didn't post about today. Homes 17/P has exploded, and is bigger than the sun. Best observation time should be on the 19th, so I will post about it before then - if there's a clear night, I might even be able to drag my scope out, then I'll have something personal to add and not just links and reminders.
The new "theory of everything" sounds cool, but I have no clue who the players are. One physicist, apparently a string theorist, is totally against it, but he's also a climate-change denier, so I'm not so sure whether to take him as an authoritative author. One physicist is totally supportive, but he's the guys colleage. Others seem to be on the fence, but not knowing who is whom makes it hard to tell what that means. So I'll wait a while before posting on that. Unlike Homes there's no deadline on this one - it would be nice to have it posted before May, when the Large Hadron Collider comes on line. That will give me time to finish my posts on QM, and get through String (or maybe I'll just skip straight to M) before tackling it... though it's simpler than M, so maybe I can handle it first, and just comment on how very unaccepted it is.
