Happy Thanksgiving all.
Somehow, no matter how many years go by and how many times I write those little words, each Thanksgiving remains special. It's a beautiful day here in the Seattle area and there are many things to give thanks for:
1) If you're reading this blog, I am grateful.
2) That means you are also alive - and that's terrific!
3)
The internets are still functioning.
The 9+ million people on WoW can continue their addictive gaming with little or no fear of withdrawal.
I don't play WoW, but
the MMORPG I play has 1/2 a million 'users' some of which will undoubtedly be playing right now - holiday or naught!
4) Our faculties of reading (you) and writing (me) are still puttering along. Wish I could bring you something a bit more meaningful, but this is all I have to give you.
5) No matter your country of origin or religious/philosophical inclination, people like me are wishing good things for you in the harshest months ahead. Hopefully, next year will bring a modest amount of happiness, a bounty of good health and a manageable amount of challenges to grow us stronger and smarter.
