Tiburon – Oh, those early 70’s…I think I remember a few parties on some houseboats, but I’m not sure about the details. Different days!
United Kingdom – Lived in Bristol in 2000 and had the opportunity to explore all around –Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.
Venice – I visited Venice in 1969 and my daughter had the opportunity to visit Venice this last summer. She even sang in St Marks Cathedral – a memory she’ll have for a lifetime!
West Point – While visiting my in-laws in the late 1980’s we went to see an outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s Alls Well that Ends Well. I think I enjoyed the performance but the memory that stays with me is that of looking down into the Hudson River area and listening to the canons going off over at West Point. Memory’s a funny thing.
Xanadu – Staring down at West Point was kind of Xanadu-like and I’ve certainly had the opportunity to visit many a place of idyllic beauty: Lille with snow beginning to fall on cobbled streets; Golden Gate Park on a warm summer day; Bend on a late summer night watching a meteor shower… So many experiences and so many more to experience!
Yugoslavia – I love the beautiful historic walled city of Dubrovnik. When I was there it was part of Yugoslavia – now, it’s Croatia. It was the first time I had slivovitz.
Zugspitze – While getting to the “top of Germany” is an adventure (taking the cog-rail train and gondola), being up there on a clear day is absolutely breath taking!
Well that's it! I wander through the alphabet twice. It was fun and I'm thankful its over.
