I teach the elementary school in a one room schoolhouse in Wilmington, NC. I don't blog about teaching very often, but it does happen occasionally. My school kids definately do not know about my blog, and I would never mention a specific child even by first name, let alone the name of my school. I never meant to be a teacher--I thought I was going to be a writer when I grew up, so blogging seemed the natural thing for me. But I love teaching so much that I imagine I'll do it forever.

A lot of elementary and English teachers here. :) I teach early college start English and Speech to H.S students. I try not to blog about work too much or tell anyone besides a few select friends I blog because I am paranoid someone from work will find me and not be pleased (be that student, parent, or administrator). But, it comes up in a general way a lot.

I teach preschool in a state-subsidized school in southern California. I blog about my work all the time because it's a huge part of my life and who I am. My blog is primarily read by my friends and family, so that gives me a level of comfort in sharing what I do (I know they have an interest in hearing about these things, and I don't worry about entertaining a wider audience).

I teach English and music at a boys boarding school in Pennsylvania, have also taught at a private day school in Rhode Island. My blog isn't primarily a teacher blog, but obviously teaching informs my blogging, both because of my daily experiences and because I think about it a lot. I blog under my own name, so I presume that my students could know about my blog--at my last school, many of them did, but I don't think any of my students here are aware of it. Still, I blog as though my students and--perhaps more importantly--their parents could be reading my blog. And, of course, administrators could be reading, so I'm pretty circumspect. I don't directly name my school and I don't say anything that would reflect badly on myself or my school. It's a tough line to walk sometimes though.
