Can sombody tell me why as Americans we feel the need to try and impose our way of life on the world? I mean we are over in Iraq trying to tell these people to adopt our way of government. I am not against the war at all, as an ex Marine I love the idea of going over to another country and doing what needs to be done as far as the military goes, but wasn't our goal to over throw a dictator that we didn't like very much? Well... we did that why now do we have to help rebuild? No, kick their ass and then leave them alone to lick their wounds, These people have been at war with each other since the begining of recorded time, who do we think we are that the U.S.A. can come in and in 5 years put a stop to something that has been ongoing since before Jesus himself walked the earth? As far as I'm concerned this is a lost cause, pull our troops out bring them home throw them a huge party and leave the "desert people" to their own devices. Thank You

Hear, hear!

We were right for going in there, but wrong for not leaving. We have more important issues to deal with other than playing nursemaid/watchdog/nanny/{fill in the blank} for them.

Clearly they are not ready for democracy, and we cannot force it on them if they are not ready for it.
