National Blog Posting Month

Just some nonsense here. 2008 is just around the corner which means all calendars are now big business. So a couple questions for you:

1) Do you buy a calendar?
2) What is the subject matter of your current 2007 calendar?
3) Do you still have your 2007 calendar?
4) What calendar subject matter would you like to have, but have never seen?

My answers:
1) Yes - I usually buy at least two. A wall calendar and a desktop one. My husband always buys one.
2) My wall calendars for 2007 are Lord of the Rings poster calendar, Gems of the World desktop calendar, and my husband has a military airplane calendar.
3) Sure do!
4) I would like to have a calendar of dramatic photos of ruins.

1. It's pretty much a family tradition that we buy each other calendars at Christmas time....easy gift and we don't have to buy ourselves calendars.

2. I have a couple of them. I was bought a wall one with tigers and I'm sure it's around here somewhere. I have a daily tear-off type one with weird websites listed, but I haven't gone through it since January, heh....the same thing with the "free daily online calendar" that came with it (with 5 happy things to think about each day)....yeah, that's piled up in an automatically forward to folder, lol. I never actually use those kinds of calendars....I have a planner and my online stuff instead.

3. Um, I still have calendars from years ago because I made the mistake of writing important dates and such on them and never went back to them, promising myself I 'someday would', lol....so of course I have this years and last years and.....

4. I've seen soooo many calendars, I really can't even begin to think of one that I haven't seen that I'd actually want.

I print my own calendar in Word using a table. I like one month per page, and my font is Kristen or something like that.

I also have a calendar in the kitchen from the local Chinese restaurant. It's super big, very red, and not attractive in the least.

I bought a Spanish-word-of-the-day calendar, too, at half price after January last year. I can now say, "My friends go bowling often" en espanol.

My mum always gets given a funny one for Christmas (often involving horses), and she gets a plain one as well. I just use those calenders when I need one.

Yes, I buy calendars -- usually 3 -- one for my home office, one for my husband's home office and one for my work office.
Subject matters vary but are usually things I'm interested in such as Whippets, nature scenes, flowers, or birds.
Yes I still have my 2007 calendar as well as some from previous years that had good pictures in them.
I really can't think of one.

My mother used to send me a calendar every year, produced in their city by a professional photographer. Really lovely pics - then he stopped doing it. So I had one year without a calendar, then about a year ago I discovered a Flickr gadget that enabled me to upload my own photos and have rather attractive pages produced for me to print (at no cost). So I found 12 photos of our cats in various places, and created a 2007 calendar, and then liked it so much I printed copies to send to my mother and mother-in-law too :)

I shall be doing the same for next year soon - this time I've deliberately been taking pics of the cats all year in the correct format for a calendar.

1) Do you buy a calendar?
Hardly ever. I usually find free ones online or are givent hem by the bank, or my hubby brings them home from work.

Though I did buy a calander this year that is also a mouse pad. Help me keep my computer duties striaght.

2) What is the subject matter of your current 2007 calendar?
Pets.

3) Do you still have your 2007 calendar?
Yep.

4) What calendar subject matter would you like to have, but have never seen?
RATS! I love rats and I would love a rat calender. (And I mean from a physical store. I try to not buy online unless I have to. After all, I work retail and I'd like to no lose my job to a computer any time soon.)

I have a few different calendars. Some were gifts, one I bought for myself. The one I picked out is of Italy, two are family calendars with photos and birthdays/anniversaries pre-printed on them, and one is a page a day from Living Language--Italian. Oh--another one that was a gift is a small wall calendar, of chicken artwork. :)

Chicken artwork? Would that be art of chickens or chickens painting? lol
