What's your Motivation?

I am really curious as to what people's motivations are to take part in NaBloPoMo? Since I have a cooking blog (Jaynies Kitchen) I want to see if I can really go with the NaBloPoMo flow (am I a poet and I didn't know it?!) and post something that I have tried every day for a month...whether it is a success or not.

What's your motivation?

Great topic, I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts.

I joined because I could. I just hate to be left out of anything!

Mostly, I was starting to slack off in the writing department. Family and friends were starting to whine that it was taking too long between posts. (Apparently I tell the stories better in the written word than the spoken word because they don't use the phone much!)

I entered NaBloPoMo in the hope that it would improve my blogging technique. I think it is starting to have an effect, because I'm linking more to the outside world and to previous entries instead of each post living in a world of its own.

I post every day anyway, so I wanted to motivate myself to write better posts. Unfortunately, I'm also doing NaNoWriMo, so my blog posts have been less than stellar except when I'm writing NaNoWriMo updates.
