Welcome

I didn't want to write a welcome message until someone had joined cos well....it's kind of embarrassing to write a welcome message on a group you start only to find NO-ONE wants to join. LOL.

So, welcome. Dunno why the *other* Aussie group didn't show up when I tried to do a search for it but never mind. We're here now. You can join the other group AND join here.... or just one. Whatever. I guess in a couple of days time you'll all be so busy writing on your own blogs that you won't visit here anyway!!!

Please give us a wave, an intro and tell us a little bit about your blog. AND if you could put a link to your blog in your message so we don't have to go to everyone's nablopomo page to find their blogs (unless there's some other way of telling which has bypassed this very "untechy" bloggers notice - which of course is highly likely!!!!).

I'll start. I'm an Aussie mum with 3 kids. DH is a farmer so we're "rural Aussies". I grew up a city girl so living on the farm is somewhat of a shock to the system. Nice all the same.

My blog is about..... well everything and nothing really. I don't really have a "niche". Unless I can count myself as a "niche". LOL. I'm interested in simple living and frugality (while still being a struggling shopaholic as well), gardening, music (learning piano), cooking.... all that kind of stuff.

Permalink Reply by Bettina on November 1, 2007 at 6:48am: Why is it that during the day the damn viruses are content to lie dormant so that while you KNOW your kids are sick they are behaving like they aren't, but then at night they WAKE UP and keep your kids up half the night in misery? Ugh! Since I'm up anyhow waiting for the other child to wake up and inform me that he's "hot enough to cook eggs on" for the 5th time today, I shall give you your much anticipated reply m'dear lightening bolt!

I'm Bettina. A 34 yr old stay at home mum in, I think they call us regional, nsw. I'm a town girl, not a farm girl, but defiantely not a city girl. I have 2 kids at home and one not. Hubby is a truck driver and on the road about half the week which can be a challenge at times. Since my kids are all of school age, I fill in my time by helping at their school, doing stuff with my church, doing craft stuff and I'm quite heavily involved in the rural fire service with training, comms, air ops and being the secretary of my own brigade.
