I usually go with something that's come up in the day, or talk about one of my interests in life, or sometimes as I'm looking at other things on the web, I'll see an image or an item that inspires me. I also keep several drafts of ideas for topics I want to broach, so when I don't have something fresh I can always fall back on that.

I take events from my day and build something around them. Sometimes I take a post that someone else may have made and take off on that. It's fine to take ideas from others but make it a point to acknowledge them. Memes are ok but not on a regular basis (for me).

When I sit down to blog, I usually have a vague idea about what I'm going to write about. Sometimes I have no idea. I like the story format. I write for awhile to see what interesting bits I can pull out of an idea and then shape quickly into a little story for a blog post.

I try to work quickly because I know tomorrow I have to do it all over again.

I try out different recipes from either cookery books or on-line recipes & blogs. There's millions out there so there's always something new to try. So if you are stuck for topics then try making something and telling us about your experiences. Even if disaster strikes the results will be edible (well, most probably..)

My ideas come from the various F1 news sites I read. Sometimes a blog may trigger something, or one of my long-term blog posts may be finished, in which case I'll post that. And if all else fails, I can usually count on the FIA doing something silly...
