Not true... I just don't want to read about them, unless they're doing something amazing, like lifting a bus off junior with bizarre adrenaline rush. I see enough of my own kids, thank you. Anyways, just another excuse to get a bunch of otherwise-unrelated bloggers in a group for some link-love. Welcome!
Hmmm...I'm married to a Mom. Well, she is now anyway! Ooops. She blogs too but not usually about our two kids. Man, is there a better term for this than blogging? I can't stand telling people I have a blog. Blahg?
Ok, since the blogroll is PACKED, PACKED I tell you with mommy blogs, has anyone discovered a non-mommy blog of particular interest that I should be reading? I'm tired of clicking on interesting titles and finding pictures of people's children. It's like a bait and switch.
I'm not a mommy - maybe someday. But I do hope the tone of my blog continues to be of my silly observations, even after motherhood! I dig this group, hopefully I can friend you guys soon! Anitra www.iloveakiwi.com
I don't hate reading MomBlogs. In fact, I am kind of jealous they have so much content just available to them - makes their lives seem a bit more interesting than mine.
I do read a few Mom's that Blog - actually, one of my favourite blogs is by Linda, who, I am sure many of you are familiar with over at All & Sundry, and another by Tanis, over at RedneckMommy. However, it is these WOMEN I like reading, and though their children make regular appearances in their blog posts, it is these women themselves, their writing style, etc, that I enjoy.
However, there have been blogs I have read that document every waking moment of their child's life, and frankly, to me, not being a parent, I find that kind of boring.
So, no, I do not "hate moms", and I will probably be a "MOMMYBLOGGER" - jeesh, I hate that word, if I ever have the opportunity one day to have a child...but I just don't want to hear everything about your kids all the time.
