NaBloPoMo

National Blog Posting Month

I thought it might be interesting for everyone to come in and give a short description of their latest post. That way it can give other NaBloPoMo members some ideas if they get a dry spell, and it's a good way to generate traffic on your own blogs... just don't forget to include the link!

For example, my Thursday post features a commercial that is pure poetry in motion. As one of my commentators said: "If all advertisements were of this quality, life would be more fun"

You're next!

I blogged about two newly discovered dinosaurs, and about how Christmas preparations start earlier each year.

For my "30 days of thanks" post I gave thanks for universal remote controls. In particular my "Phaser" remote.

For my "regular" post I shared a recent phone conversation I had with a friend about when people try to send her "helpful" suggestions to help her fight cancer, which ultimately end up pissing her off instead.

(And Lise Mendel, I saw 2 Christmas trees today and was thinking the same thing :) )

One of my favorite saying is "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." All too often, that seems to be the case.

I had been considering doing a gratitude blog of some kind anyway. Either as a separate blog, or just a "thing" to do on mine and to post one thing I was grateful for every day during NaBloPoMo. Then when I saw there was a group doing that same thing I thought "Well there we go!" Lol!

Oops! I deleted my previous comment when I meant to reply here. I think I have to many things going at once! I like the idea of a blog just to express gratitude. That's the great thing about it, you can have as many blogs for as many things as you want. Or throw everything into the same one.

I made a PDF of all of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes and posted it for download on my blog. At this time of year, my stats show tons of traffic to all of those recipes anyway, so it seemed like a convenient way to get them all in one place.

I used a six word story to describe a short story I've forgotten the title of. It's really bugging me! See if you can figure it out:

Detective investigates suspicious disappearance: man-eating couch.

Any suggestions?

I have nothing to offer, but now I want to read it! As long as it wasn't written by PD James, I'm game.

I blogged about a dinner we went to last night. My oldest daughter got braces today -- so I thought about blogging about that.

I wrote about Cyclone Sidr and Bangaldesh. We haven't had much coverage in the US about it, and I've taking to following it online where I can.
