Bashir's Momma - You are SO on my wavelength - I was about to post a discussion on this very same subject.

I'm a pro Biore kinda girl myself. In fact, I like to put the nose strips anywhere tat I have blackheads. When I take them off, I love how it looks like there's a tiny forest on the inside of the paper.

Sometimes, for the really deep blackheads, it gives me just the headstard I need to get going.

sassy, bashirs_momma,
i joined this group just so's i could comment on biore pore strips.

THEY ARE PROOF THAT THERE IS A GOD AND SHE WANTS US TO HAVE PORELESS SKIN.

few things are so satisfying as seeing how you've done after removing some hair follicles and the outer dermal layer, and seeing that forest of whiteheads. amen to that. i swear i hear a chorus of angels singing as i examine the evidence.

Cynematic,
I soooo love that you used the words 'forest of whiteheads' and 'chorus of angels' in the same sentence. I feel the same way.

awww, sassy, you are my spiritual pore sister.

maybe there is *one* thing better than applying the biore pore strips to oneself..and that is applying them to the hapless spouse. because that whole pain thing? is now irrelevant. rrrrrrrrrrrip!

i guess that makes me a sadistic zit popper?

Oh! Men always have the best reactions when you rip that sucker off and present the results of your effort.

Hmm... I used to love Biore strips, but I think I've developed a resistance to them. For the past two years, I've pulled nothing out of my blackheads. Nothing! No forest of whiteheads no forest of blackheads. Nothing. If I'm lucky, I might pull some hair off and that's it.

And this isn't because my skin has suddenly become as smooth as a baby's bottom. I can see the dirt in my pores, and it wants to be Biore'd! Life is cruel sometimes.

TK,
you know (and i am such a biore pore strip connoisseur), i've found that the extra-ultra-hyper zit removing strips paradoxically work worse than the regular deforestation kind. there is a difference. also, the off-brand pond's is not the same as the biore.

could it be the type of pore strip you are using?

ymmv, etc etc.

You know, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if this is the case. They say Biore on them, but namebrand things sold inside China (where I am) never seem to be up to the same quality as similar things sold outside China. Thanks for the heads up! I guess this gives me something to look into the next time I'm in the 1st world.

Have you heard of the ClearNow system? If you are afraid you might miss the zit popping, you can save a little patch (somewhere other than the face) to harvest nice pimples to pop. Otherwise, if you live in the US, give this stuff a try.

well tom, there's a subtext of female primate grooming to the discussions here that you might be missing out on (in addition to the possibility that we--or our "best friends"--are all icky pizza faces). see here for details.

so are you a male biore pore strip user?

I guess I missed the 'pizza face' thing. I know the urge to pop a zit all too well. I can't resist. Some say to 'let the product do it's thing' and 'leave it alone'. I can't help myself. Not because I'm infatuated with them or anything. I just want it off my face...or shoulder.

I don't use Biore...I just focus more on keeping my face clean for a few days. That includes using something that works for me...like the ClearNow system. I guess we all have to do what works for us or makes us happy, right?

If you like the 'pizza' look that's one thing but, if not, try the ClearNow system and see if it works for you. It has a 6 month satisfaction guarantee so I suppose there's nothing to risk by trying it.

I think I saw a pore cleansing something or other on that site also. Take a look.
