I'd really like to make a video about what i learned this month, but I may wait a little for that so I can process everything. It's been an awesome month. I'm glad I participated, and I'm glad I got to know many of you better through the experience. You guys challenged me, and it was encouraging to know that we were in this together. It was amazing to see what we could accomplish together. Thanks for your participation. See you around the web.
Well, I didn't have a perfect record for NaVloPoMo (I think 23 vids? 24?), but I think I'm satisfied and I definitely learned a LOT, so thank you all for your different work and inspiration. To name just a few -- Aaron, you broke my brain, but your snippets were freak-tastic; Cheryl, nice to meetcha and see some of my ol' Phoenix; Rupert and Robert, you guys get a room, and good luck with (recent/possible) moves.
I'd like to pick up on what Dennis just said -- I think I'd like to do a post-NVPM summary video about what I learned inspired by whom etc. Should we all agree to meet back here in a couple weeks to share any summary video thoughts? I'd love to hear back from the rest of you. [wipes tear]
This week was hellacious at work so I totally sputtered at the end of NaVloPoMo. What was my last one, the 26th? Well, I'm coming back to life to go out with a bang. I just posted a new video about the GOP YouTube debate up on Huffington Post's Off the Bus. The first half is the funny part, the second half is kinda boring wonky analysis of the debate, so you can quit watching when you stop chuckling and you won't hurt my feelings.
What a great idea Shelby - it would be like a vloggy holiday gift to pop back in in a couple of weeks and post a post-NVPM video. I'll do it with ya! We should probably make a separate discussion about it.
NaVloPoMo was a total blast (even though I sputtered out toward the end)and I was amazed by all the terrific stuff folks churned out, and I do mean churned! It was non-stop video madness! Kudos to all.
Now take a deep breath and get ready: It's DecVloPoMo, now! Get crackin'!
I just wanted to take a second here to congratulate all of you for going through all the way to the end. You all did absolutely fantastic work and certainly deserve all the kudos, mentions and write-ups that you get. I feel honored to have been a part of this. I wish I could have followed you all through to the end. Unfortunately, life interfered with my best laid plans.
I raise a fine ale to you all and wish the best for things to come.
I feel sad that I didn't complete it in the way that I'd planned. Even though I never planned to.
But much more than that, I feel like laughing out loud for everyone else. All those who took part in just a little bit of it, those who got through most or almost all of it, and those who did it every day, within the deadline. A film every day for a month. That's so great.
We want to do a screening. And have a site. And record this somewhere so it isn't lost.
I have two posts, on NaVloPoMo Wrapup, this is Thoughts from the Bus Stop.
What's sort of funny, is here I am at 6:00am, on a freakin Saturday, posting vlogs.... just like I did for the last month, every morning at 5:30am. [uggh]...shouldn't I be sleeping in? I hope this NaVloPoMo routine wears off soon. :)
That's all folks...well, for now. Final NaVloPoMo 2007. Number 30: http://rurl.org/d4t And a big thank you and congratulations all round.
Re: this post. Big apologies to any I missed off (which were many for sure). Couldn't log into this site late last night to get links as I threw my last NaVlo post together in a mad rush. I will slowly be going back over NaVlo vloggers' work so as to catch up and comment! Can't wait. Feels like the end of something extraordinary.
thanks from me also - I've had fun making little videos and watching other people's - plenty to catch up on! my last one mirrors my first of the month - in my pjs again, this time after a late night flight instead of an early morning one. I took videos at the Istanbul airport last night but hadn't put my memory stick in and so none of them saved. flight was delayed so I didn't get back to Jerusalem until around 3am and slept since then. very tired! so a quick goodbye & look at some of the Turkish Delight I bought at the Istanbul airport gift shop.
