NaBloPoMo

National Blog Posting Month

"I survived" badge?

So this is WAY premature, because it's likely that I'll miss a few days here and there in November... but perhaps my motivation for completing the NaBloPoMo assignment will be a fancy new badge for my site that says "I survived (and completed) NaBloPoMo!"... or something to that effect. What do you think?

I think it's a great idea. Didn't they have something like that last year (or maybe a few people just did it themselves). It's something nifty to add to your page after it's all said and done. :)

I like that idea too. If I'm going to make such a fuss on my blog about going for this challenge, I think my readers would like to see me provide some evidence I actually did it (rather than just making a huge noise and then ducking out!)

haha, well, anyone can post a badge, it's not really proof, heh, but yes it's always fun to display your I MADE IT! stuff after. I have my Blogathon 06 and 07 ones on my profile on the site that I write at. =)

TOTALLY. We had some good ones last year, a lot of people made their own, but you can see one here.

Oooh, that badge is fun. How do we go about changing the year? I'm not good at code 'n stuff.

Good to know I wasn't crazy about people having them last year. I hadn't seen the one you posted, but I've seen others splattered across various blogs here and there.

Maybe someone artsy will be generous and whip something up in Photoshop....or even just Paint, hehe. I'd love something with the kitty from this year.

They did do it last year. I'm sure they will this year.

We'll get some going when we get closer to the end of the month. I'm still a week behind trying to catch up with the e-mails of people offering prizes.

I've done a smaller, button-style one with the cat.

I Did NaBloPoMo 2007 - Cat on Left, Black and White Version

It was done in GIMP. If anyone wants a recoloured version, please ask - I would be happy to do some :)

By the way, if you've using BBCode, I've finally figured out how to get my badge to display in that code - and as a bonus, it links back to NaBloPoMo so readers can see what all the fuss was about. The code is:

[url=http://www.nablopomo.com/][img]http://api.ning.com/files/ipjYab84HscLRR0Vo3ee3C3D33e*MiLLcQjGIV9V-JY_/nablopomo2007button.png[/img][/url]

HTML-based blogs can get their "I survived" badges to link back here by putting:

<*a href="http://www.nablopomo.com"><*p style='text-align:left'><*img src='http://api.ning.com/files/ipjYab84HscLRR0Vo3ee3C3D33e*MiLLcQjGIV9V-JY_/nablopomo2007button.png' /><*/p><*/a>
(but removing the *s wherever they appear)
