I live in Harrisburg. I frequently visit Lancaster and Berks County. I can be prickly about people who don;t pronounce LANK-a-stir cirrectly. I'm a fiction writer and essayist. My academic interest is in nineteenth centiry domestic life among the Pennsylvania Germans of Berks County. I've studied Pennsylvania German with an Amish family. Nissley Vineyards' Holiday White wine (available November 1 to December 30 or while supplies last) is the food of the gods.

I live and work in Hershey, and have been in the Harrisburg orbit since 1984. I grew up in Western PA, halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie, and went to college in the 'Burgh. I've worked in state goverment, for a couple trade associations, and I've been self-employed for a long, long time now!

I am currently living in a suburb outside of Pittsburgh, toward the airport. I lived for 15 years in the hip, hot South Side, and then I had a baby, and needed a yard. It happens. I grew up in Erie. So, yeah, I'm PA through and through.

I have lived in Pittsburgh for the last two years. I spent most of my life in rural Armstrong Couny, NE of Pittsburgh and I was born in Clearfield County in Central PA. Although I really miss living in the country, I really like Pittsburgh.

We're in South Central PA in a smallish town. I great up in Central PA and attended PSU. Over the years, I've spent time living in Finland, Colorado and New England.

PA is lovely - the fall is great and it's good to be close to family. I miss the beaches of New England, the beauty of Colorado and the culture of Europe. I think all were better fits for me personally, but PA is the right fit for my family... at least for now.

I'm a little late to this, but I thought I would comment again with the monthly NaBloPoMo starting. I am from the Poconos and I frequently travel to Philadelphia. I also visited LANK-a-stir almost bimonthly the entire time I was growing up, we always stayed at Willow Valley and I still feel at home whenever I go there.
