KCMO over here. Northeast side, loud-n-proudish. The Old Northeast is pretty, but it can be kinda rough. It's part of the stuff of my life and my blog, nonetheless.
Where are you from, and does it influence your blog content much?
I live outside of Saint Louis...slowly inching my west into as close to nowhere as possible. I would say, for the most part, it doesn't really affect my blog content unless it's baseball season, and even then probably not so much.
From just north of Springfield here. I think it'll probably have more influence on my blog than I think...I'm at home most of the time. What else will I talk about?
I am actually from the "other side" of the Mississippi in Belleville, IL. I transplanted over here in St. Louis two years ago. St. Louis and living in the city DEFINITELY influences my content. I am a documentarian at heart and fall in love with my surroundings, daily. Most of my posts have the flavor of the STL, with a swirl of Courtney. (:
I live in STL in south city, just moved here over the summer from the Illinois side of the river. Lived in the metro-east area since '97 but grew up in southern IL. Where I live definitely affects my blog, I sorta dedicated it to my new home and the things I see around town.
I've lived in St. Louis almost all my life - I've moved away a few times, but keep comin' back! I've posted a few entries about neat spots in the state, mostly photographs. I'm trying to focus on that more, actually. Maybe getting some more local readers will help!
Hello everyone! I am also in South St. Louis City. I moved here about 13 years ago from Jacksonville, Illinois. Moving from a rural area to the City had a profound, and at times terrifying, influence on me. The experience has certainly shaped me, and my writing.
I live in St Louis now, in Webster Groves, but I'm new to the Lou. I am originally from Kansas City (although I grew up mostly on the KS side) went to Mizzou and then after college moved to Boston. I just moved to St Louis about a year ago. I still get lost.
I write about St Louis some. It doesn't make a huge impact on my blog content, but it pops up now and then.
When I'm not in school I live south of the Lake of the Ozarks, but during the school year I live in Columbia. :) I have a separate blog for non-knitting things, so usually I don't talk about my personal life in my knitting blog.
