Trick or Treaters in your area?

So - did you guys go out trick-or-treating tonight? We just got home, and I just put all my monkeys to bed - they were wiped out! We drove over and TorT'd in the Bonnie Brae area, because my husband worked late and I wanted to meet him near his office. We scored out on candy, too!

Do you get a lot of trick-or-treaters where you live?

Here are my little ones and my husband!

Our neighborhood do not get a lot of kids--- so it is the exception if your kid only gets ONE candy. It's more like 3 or 4 or a couple of handfuls. I set out a bowl of candies since we were out trick-or-treating ourselves but it did not look like I had any takers. We found similar bowls in a couple of houses and they still have lots of candy by 7pm.

Hey, thanks! I'm pretty partial to the husband. He is a cutie. Okay, the kids too. Haha!

We had random T or T in our 'hood. Mostly neighbor kids we already know. We didn't go out since Amos is only four-months-old. He had a wee bit of fun wearing his witchy hat, but he also screamed at a few visitors. Ha!

We used to get more when our kids were younger (they're 22, 19, and 17 now, with the oldest out of the house) and there seemed to be more kids their age in the surrounding houses. I'd say probably about 30 kids--so plenty of candy left over, as I like to be ready for 100. Some years we've had that many. But we're outside city limits (northwest of Fort Collins), and there are now new neighborhoods (with nicer houses and young families with children) springing up nearby, so we think more kids are going to the new neighborhoods rather than traipsing through ours.

We still love the holiday, and had fun decorating inside and out. I've saved some of the kids' Halloween artwork from when they were in elementary school, and they enjoyed seeing it taped to the kitchen cabinets.

I'll have to share some photos lately. In the meantime, feel free to see photos of my hikes around Fort Collins by going to tabblo.com (user name is "PHS_Wrestling, which you can search for on the upper right).
