So, tomorrow's the big day! Leopard will be released. Who's upgrading immediately? Who's sticking with good ol' Tiger? Any particular reasons why? What features of Leopard are you looking forward to, and what do you wish they'd left the same? :)

I'm very excited about Leopard...just as soon as I can get it installed. Three failed attempts and I'm off to the Apple Store this afternoon...hopefully for just a new install disk. I telecommute full time, so iChat is constantly running on my laptop...can't wait for tabbed chats!

I recently sat in on a demo for Leopard at the Mac Flagship store in SF. WOW! The things this os can do just blew my mind! Can't wait to get a copy...but for me, it will probably not be until after Christmas.

Hubby wants Leopard on his MacBook, but I'm still on my iBook from two years ago, so I don't get to upgrade until tax time. Then, I get a MacBook AND Leopard. I'm interested in the upgraded Mail (I currently use Thunderbird to handle multiple accounts), and can't wait for Stacks and the new dock.

I also don't blog on .Mac - as my husband runs our own mail server and domain. No reason to pay for a domain name if you don't have to, right? :)

I work in an I.T. department where we support both Macs and PC's (mostly Macs) so we have been playing around a bit with Leopard on test machines. It is really nice, and if I were using my Mac solely for personal work I would upgrade in a heartbeat. I did actually try installing it on my Mac ( a 1.5Ghz PB G4 2G RAM), and i am very, very glad I made a full backup before doing so, as it rebooted straight into a kernel panic after the upgrade. My system isn't tricked out software wise, so I'm not sure what the problem was, I'm suspecting either Timbuktu, or 4Sight Fax, but don't know. I contemplated a clean install and rebuilding my system from scratch, but then I discovered Leopard isn't compatible with Apple Remote Desktop 2 and we don't have the budget to upgrade to 3 right now ($450/unlimited admin seat). It's not compatible with OS X Server Admin Tools v10.4 so we would have to upgrade a number of Xserves to 10.5 as well. This is actually budgeted, but changing server OS versions isn't a task to be taken lightly when it can affect 100's of users.
