What are the biggest issues that effect your life as a single woman?

I'm the Singles editor for BlogHer, and I'd really like to know -- I'm trying to make my posts relevant to my demographic and all. :)

For me it is a combination of schedule and patience. It's hard to work your tail off all week and then drag yourself out to some nightspot and then have to deal with a brutal "singles" scene. (Guys who are looking for a lay instead of a date, cocky assholes who are obsessed with themselves, men who don't like intelligent women.)

My biggest issue with being single is adapting my relationships with my married girlfriends and my new mom girlfriends and trying to stay close even though we have less and less in common all the time. I can be kind of a camel when it comes to dating, but I miss my ladies.

yeah, Maiden, me too. i do just fine with my married but kid-free friends, since those guys are still occasionally up for a weekend wine tasting, or catching a movie. but sure enough, maintaining relationships with people who's focus is almost solely on the new baby is tough.

AS for me, and I know that you have probably already covered it, but it is always being the freakin 3rd wheel! Everytime it is "girls" night out just to go eat and then go to a night club it seems like the other halves of my friends always shows us and then there is just me! I mean Come on it is a freakin GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!!!
