Where in Florida?

As a new resident of Florida (only 3.5 years), my family is enjoying exploring all that our new home state has to offer.

This group has a diverse spread of the state, so I pose a few questions to you:
1. Where is your absolute favorite place to visit in your neck of the woods?
2. Favorite mom and pop place to eat? What kind of food do they serve? (Hubby and I have a food blog and write about the local cuisine and beer and wines we like)
3. If you camp, do you have a suggested camp site?

Thanks for your input!

Hi!

I live in Vero Beach, F.L. (Zero Beach, truly)
My favorite place around here is Mother Tucker's Sand Bar in ft. pierce or The local Irish Pub on Miracle mile in Vero.
My favorite Mom and Pop place has to be the country kitchen on Old dixie here in vero. They have the best greasy diner food anywhere!

Camp? Ha! Ya'll are funny! Is that thing where you go into the woods and sleep near trees and such?

;)

Camping is what one does, even 20 years after a disastrous camping trip. The things we do for our children! Trees? Last trip had no shade and 90 degree temps (and an RSD flare). Somehow, I'm looking forward to going back next weekend. Blame the cub scouts.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be creating a list on my wine foodies blog of 100 places to grab grub in florida. It's a fun to do list, don't you think?

I live in the tourist mecca, about 15 minutes north of Disney. And honestly, my favorite places to visit are the Disney parks and Sea World.

If you're ever on Rte 27 in Clermont, I highly recommend the Chef's Table, which is on 27 near Hartwood Marsh Road. They have the most amazing sandwiches. Hubby and I generally get whatever is on the specials board (he once had a bratwurst & corned beef sandwich with hash browns and swiss cheese - heart attack on a bun to be sure, but it was SOOO good!).

As for camping, unless there's air conditioning and cable involved, I'm not goint!

I've lived in Naples for a little over two years now. I came down here to marry my husband (we met on the internet). It's pretty, but I miss Oklahoma.
