Right now, I'm working on god is Not Great - How Religion Poisons Everything.

As a mom, reading the author's examples of how religion damages children has been particularly moving and enraging.

Anyone else reading this one? Something else?

I find Hitchens to be a little too shrill for my tastes; I think he's sometimes a detriment because he turns off a lot of otherwise-sympathetic fence-sitters. I recently read Dawkins' "The God Delusion," which I highly recommend, and you can also check out his blog at richarddawkins.net

Ha! Yes, shrill indeed. He uses the word "yokel" quite a bit, which has made me snort every time.

Totally agree with you on Hitchens; Dawkins is a far superior writer.

I think my next atheist read will be Adams vs. God: The Rematch (Phillip Adams being a well-known mad leftie broadcaster here in Australia).
