I don't live in the midwest but did for 20 years. Chicago (twice), St. Louis (twice), and Cleveland. Does that qualify me for joining the midwesterns? Part of my heart is still there.

I know what you mean. I loved Ohio, the people there were the best. I made so many friends there. I still miss them.

Hey if your heart belongs to the midwest then you belong here too. :)

Lisa, thanks for the welcome. Nothing like a midwest welcome.

Possibly my love of corn.

Here's proof:

Your video reminds me of the delicous taste of the corn in Illinois. In all my travels, I have not had corn as good as Illinois corn. The corn on East Coast is good, but not as good as the Midwest. It's a down right shame that we are using it for fuel. I guess that's progress.

Yay! Since I have a cornfield in my backyard, I know I am in the midwest! Hi from Northern Illinois.

I did Atlanta for one year. I wish I could have seen more of Tennesee, that's a beautiful state. Don't know where Chillicothe is, but I'm going to find out. I think Ohio has more geographical interest than the average person is aware. It's got the great lakes, farmlands, hills, weather - snow belt and great summer weather in the north, and the beauty of Amish Country. It's kind of a sneak up from behind you state. No one pays a lot of attention to it but appreciates once they get to really see it.

Thirty years in Chicago. Four years in Urbana, IL. Currently five years minus two months in Madison, WI. Allergic to L.A. freeways and East Coast driving. Beginning to melt when the temperature reaches 70 degrees. Able to drive in snow. Yep.

"Allergic to L.A. freeways" - good one. I love Door County, so beautiful up there, reminds me of Cape Cod.

You crack me up! "Able to drive in snow. Yep" Ditto :) LOVE snow - yes, I'm nuts.

I've been in South Central Illinois my whole life, except for college at Illinois State. I'm about 40 miles East of St Louis.

Hey Nancy, I'll be coming through your neck of the woods in the next few weeks, on my way to Joplin MO for Thanksgiving with family. :)
