Wisconsin blogging community...

I was thinking it would be good to start a discussion about the blogging community in Wisconsin (or possible lack thereof). What have we seen of it? What are our impressions of it? Other thoughts?

Permalink Reply by Steve in Madison on November 3, 2007 at 10:56am: Hi Lisa--welcome and thanks for coming. I used to have friend's in Stevens Point, so I know where Plover is, and I once gave a co-worker directions to Plover--she thought it was closer to Cascade Mountain.

There are a couple of blog rings you can find on my website--East Side Mad Bloggers (Madison's East Side, though there's no equivalent ring for the west side) and Blog On Wisconsin.

However, I think there's a real lack of a blogging community in Wisconsin. My sister, also a blogger, lives in Chicago, (where I grew up) and there is an awesome blogging community there. People interact, hang out, and even get drunk together. Several of the bloggers I interact with I know through my sister. There are at least twenty bloggers in Madison, and perhaps double or triple that amount, but little interaction.; ▶ Reply to This
