I was thinking it would be good to start a discussion about the blogging community in Wisconsin (or possible lack thereof). What have we seen of it? What are our impressions of it? Other thoughts?

I have been blogging for about three years now and have only seen one other Wisconsin blog until now. I don't understand why there are more WI bloggers. Hi fellow WI bloggers in Madison! I'm above your heads in Plover(Stevens Point) :)
Hi Lisa--welcome and thanks for coming. I used to have friend's in Stevens Point, so I know where Plover is, and I once gave a co-worker directions to Plover--she thought it was closer to Cascade Mountain.
There are a couple of blog rings you can find on my website--East Side Mad Bloggers (Madison's East Side, though there's no equivalent ring for the west side) and Blog On Wisconsin.
However, I think there's a real lack of a blogging community in Wisconsin. My sister, also a blogger, lives in Chicago, (where I grew up) and there is an awesome blogging community there. People interact, hang out, and even get drunk together. Several of the bloggers I interact with I know through my sister. There are at least twenty bloggers in Madison, and perhaps double or triple that amount, but little interaction.

I get envious when I read on other blogs about people meeting or having get togethers in a large group. It sounds like so much fun but I felt so alone up here. Good to know there are a few other bloggers here. Wonder what we could do to boost our "communitiness" :)
