First year in NaBloPoMo...three posts down in three days, so I guess that means I'm "on pace."

Potential roadblock: A three-day, tryptophan-induced nap after overindulging on Thanksgiving Day. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to crossing the finish line.

This is my first year participating in NaBloPoMo... and I'm having fun with it (even though, I was out of town without an Internet connection this past weekend, I was able to post to my blog from my Treo 680 SmartPhone)!

This is my first time doing NaBloPoMo. I would have participated last year had I heard of it. Where was I?? And had I participated last year I would be posting on the same blog (Life of an Obsessed Reader)as the one I'm posting on and have posted on since 2003.

1. No. I didn't know about it last year. I've signed on for NaNoWriMo for a few times over the last few years, though successfully managed to procrastinate my way out of that commitment each time (oh, I had good excuses, really...lol). It was while reading a favourite blogger last month who was talking about participating in NaNoWriMo AND NaBloPoMo that I first heard of it.

2. I've had my blog Careful What You Wish For since '05 but really only began posting to it earlier this year, and thought that this was a great opportunity to develop a little writing discipline.

B. Prizes...ooh, that would be loverly. But I'm not in it for the money or the holidays or the glory....
