Jen. G just sent out group message asking who else is a one N'd Jenifer, and I can't figure out where to reply to it, so I am making a new discussion.
Me! Me! Me! Yep, I am a Jenifer with one "N" and I love it. I was born in 1968, a few years before the boom of Jennifers. My father alternately claims that the Jenifer with one N was purposeful or he will say that when the nurse had him fill out the paper work at 3am he misspelled Jenifer.
I have met a few other Jenifers and they were from Scotland or Ireland. When I lived in Ireland last year, most folks spelled both my first name and last name right the first time around, unlike my experiences at home in California.
I love Jen and Jenifer. I hate hate hate hate being called Jenny. I have for years tried to break certain relatives of the habit by calling them Steve, regardless of sex.
smiles, jen ;o)
