so, which one of them is yours? is science what you do at work, or for a fun extracurricular hobby? or were you merely lured in by the sharp curves of that biohazard symbol?
Got my BS in biology many years ago. Worked in the lab for a few years after that, then went to the commercial sector. Came back to work in a research related field (oversight of clinical trials) for a while. I have been a SAHM for the last five or six years. My blog is my excuse to keep up with current research - it's very broadly defined as 'comments on the intersection of science and !science'.
Chemist by schooling and by trade. Currently I'm an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, but am considering a jump into teaching in the semi-near future.
I like the fun-extracurricular science too. I've been doing an annual chemistry demo day for kids at a local school for 5 or six years. While in grad school I was heavily involved in the outreach program doing fun demos for local schools. Set myself on fire in front of a class of sixth graders.
