science comes in so many flavors

so, which one of them is yours? is science what you do at work, or for a fun extracurricular hobby? or were you merely lured in by the sharp curves of that biohazard symbol?

Came back to work in a research related field (oversight of clinical trials) for a while. I have been a SAHM for the last five or six years. My blog is my excuse to keep up with current research - it's very broadly defined as 'comments on the intersection of science and !science'.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Sort-of Grown Up on November 4, 2007 at 6:36pm: I was always a "science" kid in school (and out) growing up, and in college that got funneled eventually into mechanical engineering.

Now I'm using what I learned in school, but not directly as an engineer.

I like the fun-extracurricular science too. I've been doing an annual chemistry demo day for kids at a local school for 5 or six years. While in grad school I was heavily involved in the outreach program doing fun demos for local schools. Set myself on fire in front of a class of sixth graders.; ▶ Reply to This
