We're supposed to do housework?!?! No way!

We have a great nanny who does the laundry for the twins (and puts it away, too). No such luck on our clothes, though. I'm glad I work at home because I think I wore this shirt yesterday! My husband works at home, too, so we do have a rather full house.

I went to your website yesterday, Katja! You sell some pretty things. I'll be haunting your sale page for a while.....the same way I haunt Jan.ie & Jac.k's!

I'm a work at home mom and a work at home pregnant woman. hah. I'm due on Christmas Day with my 2nd daughter. I have three at home jobs. I work for Apple Computers as a customer service rep, I work for Toys R Us as a online sales rep (I take orders from their website for customers), and I work as a ChaCha online search guide.

I'm exhausted just reading about your work - not to mention that you have a daughter and are expecting another one!

How did you manage to land that Toys R Us job? Sounds interesting!

But I hear you -- I work about 35 hours a week online as a writing advisor & guest lecturer for the Uni of Maryland, and I still take classes part time via their online college (www.umuc.edu), and I care for a four-year-old, and a one-year-old.

Thank goodness the four-year-old if off to Kindergarten next fall!

Re-juggling here. Due to the unfortunate lack of payments from our clients, I've had to pull my kids (1 and 4) from preschool. Now, it's marketing and mommyhood at the same time. I got through the morning and they're sleeping right now, but there's still the late afternoon. Gah!!! Of course, instead of blogging, I could be, um...working right now. Lucky me, just found out that my oldest is eligible for pre-K, so tomorrow I get applications.

Okay, technically? I have an office I'm supposed to go to. But I work at least half the day from home with the kids anyway. Errrrr......can I join too?

Hey! Great to find you all! I'm a work at home mom. I have a Full Time staff job writing and editing etc. for a cable network's website and blog, now 100% from home. I work even harder now because I appreciate how lucky I am and I want to help blaze a path/set an example so that more women may get this opportunity to work from home. Not bragging -- I was a commuting mom with two parents working FT but going broke on childcare (really!) and dying of heartbreak. And this? This is much much better. Power to us!! :) Susie

Oh and my NaBloPoMo'ing is on my personal blog, going since 2002, not at all affiliated with work FYI!!!

PS Moms Rising has some good activism on this subject. http://www.momsrising.org/work

susie,
yikes!! the "Meth'd Up" article and accompanying pictures on the link (scroll down to nov 8) where you work really turned my stomach. still, seems like a cool job.

I'm a WAHM and a WICM (Work in the City Mom). Mainly I work at home. I'm a writer but once or twice I week I have to put on professional clothing and go into the city for a meeting or client presentation. I enjoy being back home to take my youngest son to piano or soccer practice. But then I usually turn back into my Worker-Self after dinner.

BTW, there's nothing more fun than continued an interview with some "expert" in their London or New York office while I'm on the other end of the phone wearing my pink Tinkerbell jammies.

Stop by my Blog A Wild Ride.

Hi-I'm a WAHM mother of 3 school-aged daughters. Not a writer but work in freelance advertising, mostly on the www.landolakes.com site (yum). You were all talking about glasses-I have new fun ones and will update my photo soon. I pretty much fill the day working, doing laundry and driving the kids places. Have to squeeze in some time to get ready for Xmas, decorating, etc. Though we are due for a snowstorm today, so that will probably help me focus.

Juggling? More like throwing my hands in the air. I work at home and in Seattle. I'm working today (Sunday) because I have a deadline tomorrow. My kids are old enough to do simple things on their own but many days I miss them. And I don't even want to think about my poor belabored husband. It certainly is A Wild Ride.

It's so nice to find this group. I've been working from home since 2001. :)
