I always like to talk to my fellow Idahoans. Let me know where you call home and what you like about this great state.

I reside in Idaho Falls. However, my "home" is further west in the Twin Falls area. That's where I grew up and received my education. I still have family and friends in Twin Falls, Jerome, and Buhl. I live in Idaho Falls because we followed our daughter here 8 years ago when she was having her second child. Hubby and I were both job-hunting and decided to apply in IF as well as TF. We got hired in IF first. So here we are, and here we stay. At least for right now. Who knows what the future will bring?

I have recently been forced to retire because of failing health. I keep hoping that I will be all better soon, but it's not likely. I take each day and try to make the most of it. One of my biggest challenges is to not overdo on good days. This can lead to bad days. ;-) I kid the nurses at my doctor's office that they are my best friends. I see them more often than anyone else. I've even suggested that we should go to lunch and skip all the blood tests, weighing in, and other unpleasantness.

To keep busy I read, make things (quilting, knitting, sewing, etc.), and play with my grandkids.

I have lived in Nevada and Arizona as well as Idaho. I like Idaho best. Some of my favorite places are in the mountains. I also love to visit the falls outside of Twin Falls. Both Shoshone Falls and the Twin Falls for which the city is named. When my daughter was attending CSI we used to "escape" with some of her friends on unexpectedly free days. One place we liked to visit is the trout farm near Buhl. Watch the fish - especially the sturgeon - enjoy the sunshine, and take advantage of the picnic area. Sometimes we would visit the "hot pots" (Miracle Hot Springs) between Buhl and Hagerman and watch the alligators after relaxing in the hot water.

Hi, I'm living on the Idaho end of Cache Valley, but I spent 20+ years in other places before coming back home. I've been back now for 8 years but small town life sometimes still gives me culture shock. I love the four seasons, the natural beauty, and the uncrowded spaces of Idaho though. I love having my extended family close, which is a big reason why I came back. Another reason is the environment for my kids, which is more wholesome than the last place I lived. And maybe the best thing of all is that here I can afford to build my perfect house. Oh, and I can still sing the state song I learned when I was a kid ... "You've heard of the wonders..." etc. All that said, I like to travel and get out of here pretty often too. It's my way of having it all!

I grew up in Buhl!!! Oh awesome! I don't even know you, but I feel like we have a connection already! Yeah for Buhl, the trout capital of the world! I live in Utah now because this is where I met my husband and more opportunities jobwise for him here. We get to Idaho every few months or so to visit family. My two sisters live in Rexburg and Rigby and my other two sisters and brother and their families and my parents still live in Buhl. My folks own a business there in town. Good times!

Wow! My sis and her husband have been in Buhl for 30+ years. He teaches grade school and she delivers mail. They probably know your family. I go to visit them frequently. So, what business do your folks own? Maybe I know it.

Hi, I'm in Pocatello. I love Idaho, but hate the winters. My dream is to spend winters in Arizona and the rest of the year in Idaho. I blog about my crafts (knitting, felting, etc.) and whatever else comes to mind. MY blog I work full time, but have an Etsy store as well.

Wow! We're practically neighbors. Winters in Arizona are nice. We lived in Phoenix metro area for seven years. We liked it quite well. I visited your Etsy store. I like your neck warmers. Never heard of such a thing before, but can see they are very practical. I may be back to get a copy of the pattern.
