I always like to talk to my fellow Idahoans. Let me know where you call home and what you like about this great state.
I reside in Idaho Falls. However, my "home" is further west in the Twin Falls area. That's where I grew up and received my education. I still have family and friends in Twin Falls, Jerome, and Buhl. I live in Idaho Falls because we followed our daughter here 8 years ago when she was having her second child. Hubby and I were both job-hunting and decided to apply in IF as well as TF. We got hired in IF first. So here we are, and here we stay. At least for right now. Who knows what the future will bring?
I have recently been forced to retire because of failing health. I keep hoping that I will be all better soon, but it's not likely. I take each day and try to make the most of it. One of my biggest challenges is to not overdo on good days. This can lead to bad days. ;-) I kid the nurses at my doctor's office that they are my best friends. I see them more often than anyone else. I've even suggested that we should go to lunch and skip all the blood tests, weighing in, and other unpleasantness.
To keep busy I read, make things (quilting, knitting, sewing, etc.), and play with my grandkids.
I have lived in Nevada and Arizona as well as Idaho. I like Idaho best. Some of my favorite places are in the mountains. I also love to visit the falls outside of Twin Falls. Both Shoshone Falls and the Twin Falls for which the city is named. When my daughter was attending CSI we used to "escape" with some of her friends on unexpectedly free days. One place we liked to visit is the trout farm near Buhl. Watch the fish - especially the sturgeon - enjoy the sunshine, and take advantage of the picnic area. Sometimes we would visit the "hot pots" (Miracle Hot Springs) between Buhl and Hagerman and watch the alligators after relaxing in the hot water.
