I usually write about the current projects I'm working on (beading as well as knitting), as well as what's happening in my life in general. I'm going to continue on that theme for November.
I am involved in 4 KAL's. I admit, I think I've over done it. I'm in the Tudor Roses KAL, which is a Yahoo group for folks knitting projects from Alice Starmore's Tudor Roses book. I'm doing Margaret Tudor, a very challenging project. It's on hold for now, though, until after Christmas cos I've got gift making to do.
I joined 3 sock KAL's. The first one I joined is the Sock a Month 4 KAL. You just knit one pair of socks a month-your pattern choices. I figured that wouldn't be too hard. Then I heard about Socktopia, which is run by a gal who writes the patterns for it. There would be a source of patterns for the first KAL, right? Then I heard from a blogging friend about the Six Sox Knitalong on Yahoo groups. So I joined that-thinking I could knit 2 pairs of socks a month. HA! In my dreams! I'm barely making it through one.
I joined a 4th sock KAL too, but gave it up fairly quickly. I need to give up one of the 3 I've stayed in, but just can't bring myself to do it.
I don't knit consistently enough to join anything. There are usually at least 3 projects sitting around, not counting spinning and just daily stuff. I do like to post what I'm working on though. It keeps me committed to finishing things a bit better than just shoving them in a bag somewhere. Other than that, it's usually whatever I happen to be thinking about when I sit down to write.
I want to change my answer. I've decided to write my knitting history this month. This gives me something to write about when nothing else is going on in my life.
