::gasp:: Another Jenn!

Used to be a Jennifer, then a Jen. Now a Jenn. Never a Jenny - except for a woman in my class who can't seem to leave off the Y when addressing me. My mother named me after a character on All My Children who was killed in a jet ski accident on the show. I never had another Jennifer in my classes or at work until this year. It must be the Year of the Jenns :)

I have a blog over at http://freeandflawed.wordpress.com. Check it out if you're so inclined :)

Happy blogging!

Hi Jenn! I'm another Jenn, too - who's gone through the iterations of Jennifer and Jen (but NEVER Jenny!). My family still sometimes uses just Jen and that bugs, but I love being Jenn.

I've been using "Jenn" for a good 9-10 years...my family still writes "Jen" on cards. Or if I'm online and I sign my name as Jenn, somebody will reply "Jen, blah blah blah." That bothers me a lot. Read my name and copy it directly! Ah!

I'm a Jenn.

I was Jenny to my parents and most older family members, I was Jennifer to everyone in school . (Actually, I was Jennifer B. in school, because there were usually at least 2 or 3 other Jennifers in every class I had.) When I did shorten my name to Jenn, everyone spelled it with one N, but I finally converted everyone, and now I go almost exclusively by Jenn, with two N's. NEVER Jenny anymore. It's just so not me. I work with a Jenny, and she really suits it. Me, not so much.

I'm Jenn B! There was a Jen N. in my class. But now she left am I'm back to being the only Jenn. Although now everyone calls me J Beeze (my last name is Beese but sounds like BZ) I'm not sure why I divulged all that haha!

I'm there with you about the not being a "Jenny". :D I've never really been called Jenny by many people, of course after Forest Gump came out, there was that "Jennay" phase... so annoying but thankfully didn't last long. I usually refer to myself as Jennifer, but do not, at all, mind being called Jenn. I also like the two N's. Just a Jenn thing I guess. : ) I was Jennifer in school there were so many others, I was Jennifer Brown, we had a Jennifer Kikendall, Jennifer Jessup, Jennifer Smith, Jennifer Black, Jennifer Greene and probably some others that I can't remember right now... it has been a while. LOL

I am a Jennifer; but was a Jen through high school and college, and was Jennie in elementary and middle schools. My mother named me after Jennie Churchill. She didn't know anyone who had named their daughter Jennifer when she did it.

In school, I was Jennie K., but at Sunday school I was Jennie Ke., because we had a Jenny Ka. My teachers always wrote my name wrong as JennY, and when I crossed it out and spelled it right, they told me I was wrong. My mom told me it wasn't a big deal, but I didn't want them spelling my name wrong.

I decided I had outgrown Jennie in 6th grace, and decided Jen was "all grown up" but by the end of college, it seemed boring to JUST be Jen, so I went back to my full name of Jennifer. I have been called Jengifer, Juniper, FerFer, and (god help me) Jenny Penny in my past. :)

FerFer...I like that! I was called Jenners. But I think that's the only nickname I got that was remotely similar to my name.

I used to get called 'Fer' by a little neighborhood boy who could never say my name. That was almost 20 years ago. My brothers still call me that, though, and I think it's the closest thing to a 'term of endearment' that they can muster.

When I was learning how to talk, for whatever reason I believed that "Oofu" was the same as "Jennifer." I grew up being called Oofu and Jen-bug (I don't know how the Jen-bug came about!)

This all brings back some funny memories of nick-names that I had when I was little and not so little. LOL My Grandfather used to make up nick-names for everyone! So the nick-name he had for me was Jenny-Ka-Lou. But, I seriously thought this was my name for a brief period of time... although only my Grandfather and a few other people called me it. Kind of cute nick-name, thank God he stopped only refering to me as that when I was in about 4th grade. Every now and then he would slip but it was okay, I like that he had his own special name for me.
Then, since everyone called me Jen(n)... one of my clever boyfriends in highschool decided to call me Nifer... like Jen-Nifer. Ha! It was okay, I guess. His whole family called me Nifer and then some times some of my family would pick up on it. We were together for almost 6 yrs so when I see his family now, they still call me Nifer, and his niece and nephew still call me that every time I see them.
Then when my nephew was little he called me Na, as his first name for me, and it has stuck. All my nieces and nephews call me Na now. ~ okay enough rambling, just wanted to share too. ;~)
