Hi there and thank you for joining my group of randomness! I'm Maria and I'm in our nation's capital and I like the idea of blogging for thirty days because writing 2000 words a day for thirty days is impossible with a toddler.
Whee! I'm done. Now you?
(Pee Ess: The group graphic comes from here and was a perfect example of how cool randomness can be. So there.)
I don't feel stressed about having to do a post a day. I'm always texing my husband with really random crap I see during the day, so now he'll just have to get it off of his RSS feed.
And you hit the nail on the head as to one of the main reasons to do this. That and it just seems like oodles of fun!
welcome to the blue nothing! well, when the term was coined, the internet was deemed blue, but i dunno anymore...
i agree with Nona - this is just the type of activity that might pull you through that infancy stage before you decide to scrap the whole project because everyone else has a cooler blog and web design than you and it doesn't seem like you'll ever be able to attain their level. most every noob has felt this way.
either that, or you'll take a 3 year break starting dec. 1st because you're so sick of looking at your blog.
Allow myself to introduce myself. I'm Karen, from up in Ontario, Canada. Lost my identity to my kids so I'm trying to find it again by blogging... about them. But they're such an abundance of material most days, how could I not? And other days, I just blog about stuff, any stuff that happens to creep into this sleep-deprived mind of mine.
Today I blogged about meat trucks. Welcome to my world :)
Hey-
My name's Al, I'm a random blogger.
My blog's over at blogger, I call it "I've Got Some Shit on My Mind."
And that's what you'll find there, some shit that's on my mind for one reason or another.I really try to write about things that catch my eye; funny signs, tv shows, movies, something I overheard.
A lot of neat tools have let me post in near-real time, from taking pics from my camera phone and uploading them to my blog with (what I hope is) a witty remark or two about them to using clipmarks and google notebook to collect my thoughts. I think it's helping me to get out the words I need to get out.
My name is Shiloh, and I'm in Idaho (Potatoland). I'm a bit of a rebel I guess, 'cause I like to make common things my own. I like to break out of the molds people make and do my own thang. My blog has a variety of archives as I like doing different things. Except for the layouts I design there is no set theme to my blog, http://sunnydreamer.net/ . I'm excited about this challenge.
I'm glad to be part of this group. I too am random. Sometimes I can be depressing. But for all the depressing hoo haa I write, I see the humor in it too. After I boo hoo on my journal (or journals -- I'm everywhere -- I have journals everywhere -- I can never make up my mind - but for all intents and purposes, my nablopomo journal will be right here in napblopomo-land) -- I have a good laugh at my own self indulgence. I'm a silly girl. Yes I am. Will you join in my preposterousness? Did I even spell that right? ..... (ellipses equal randomness, indeed)
I like that too. YummY! Down is the only one I update regularly, but I'm also at 360, livejournal, xanga, blogger, myspace and so many others that I don't even remember where they are so I can update them again.
I suppose my blog does have a theme: me and my observations. I like to write but I didn't want to bore my friends with email or boring stories and thoughts they may or may not care about. So I slap it all up on the blog, and reading it is optional. They seem to enjoy it, and told me that NaBloPoMo is their favorite time of year,
Hey y'all,
My blog is so very random: pop culture, science, squirrels, politics, media studies, and random life musings. Sometimes all in one post. And yet, I'm compulsive about categories and order. I was feeling slight despair as I paged through the groups, so I'll echo what everyone else has already said - what a relief to find this one :-)
Hiya. I go by the lovely name of Distracted Spunk, though I've been called DS, Spunk, or Spunkster. Take your pick. My writing tends to vary - sometimes it's deep and thoughtful, and other times it's completely surface. I'm also a kind of random person in general - I am excellent at changing the subject with no warning. And that's about all I got.
I look forward to seeing what everyone else puts out!
Random...yeah, instead of faboo mama, I should be random mama. LOL! My uncle said, "I don't understand your blog. The title suggests you'll talk about parenthood, but I see you talking politics, black hair and you keep putting music up. What does Kanye have to do with parenting? Why don't you pick a subject?" I said, "Well, if you can read my house/garden/design blog, you can read my gadget blog, you can read my music blog or my blog just on the family. But you complained that I had too many blogs." What's a girl to do?
I just started blogging a few months ago and usually go with something that strikes my fancy when surfing online. I tend to write about science and technology being a chemist, but have blogged about Jane Austin movies, baseball, Atari games, and parenting. Here's my site:
My blog is only about three hours old, but I have no doubt that it will fall into the category of highly random. Much like the rest of my life. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Even so, as a newbie, I am much comforted to find such a beautiful group.
