Bliss and Blogs

Recently, I received a Facebook question that asked, "Has anybody seen my bliss? I was following it but I think I fell too far behind."

I thought that was a great question, and I wrote a blog post entitled, Following our bliss

How does blogging fit together with following your bliss? What role does NaBloPoMo play in that?

first of all...i read your post...truly thought provoking. most of us spend so much time judging our so called "bliss" on our material possessions. we forget the little things. my bliss...my children. watching them grow, their relationship with each other blossom, hearing their voices...everything about them...my bliss. blogging, on the other hand, is my diversion and my catharsis. is it my bliss...yes, in a way. i find some peace in it. even on my posts that can be construed as ridiculous and immature...my way of venting, sometimes. but, i've never put any emphasis on material items as being part of what makes me happy. yes, i like them. yes, i'd love to afford more. but, do i absolutely need them? no. the house, car, food and clothes. yes. do i need to find bliss at neiman marcus and saks? no. i'm happy at target and old navy. so, thank you. you have made this girl with a bad headache think. but, i appreciate it.
