In 2005, I spent the year learning to paint in oil (after 30 years of painting in pastel) by painting 5 paintings a week and listing them on eBay. I can't believe I've already blown it. How did I miss posting on Nov. 2? I'm going to say it's because I was busy writing my novel for National Novel Writing Month. Yeah. That's it. I'm only 1600 words behind, or so.

And can you believe for all my associations with November 1st, it took me until late that evening to remember NaNoWriMo??? I signed in at NaNoWriMo somewhere around 11 p.m. that night and started writing. Only got 4 or 50…

I have a couple of associations with this date. My sister's first girlfriend's birthday was on this date. I imagine it still is. Also, my sister and I created a woman's calendar in 1978 and Patty did a wonderful drawing which was at the November 1 square, of woman's spirit rising out of her body. Another association is one with all the other first days of a month.
