We went on a daylong bus ride.
This is the scene past the people and out the front window to the foggy landscape.
The bus was rather bumpy so a lot of lines got a little crazy.
But it is always fun to capture the day with a sketch.
What was lost
Was found.
What was found
Is loved!!

At least a month ago, Marianne and I decided to exchange Moo cards.
She got mine and hers disappeared somewhere in the desert.
We think Clint Eastwood found them, loved them and kept them.
So being the wonderful person Marianne is, she prepared another package of her beautiful Moo cards plus a few extra wonders, and sent them on a fast plane. Clint didn't find them this time.
We came home from being gone all day and there in the mailbox was the second package........and the first one she mailed.
Isn't that the stangest thing?! Mailed a month ago and a few days ago and they arrived on the same day.
So I preceeded to open them and WOWZERS, there were five more Moos and two SPECTACULAR mandalas!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't this cactus mandala wonderful?

And this one is so gorgeous!!!
Marianne is the mandala Queen!
And then
wonder of wonders
there was Sjimmie looking at me.
The original Sjimmie that Marianne painted for our Cactus Monday logo.

I was just astounded!!!!!
And did a major happy dance.
He is going to be framed and hung on my wall.
Isn't Marianne just an awesome friend?!!!!
Saying 'thank you' doesn't even begin to express how thankful I am for having Marianne as a friend.
And Sjimmie also makes it a Happy Animal Wednesday!!

This is another daisy from my Daisy Sketchbook.
I can see these daisies are going to be like cacti, it is so easy to find different ways of presenting these beautiful flowers. Right now I have more ideas than time.
Happy Blooming Tuesday which may morph into Daisy Tuesday!
Have I got a surprise for you tomorrow!!!

I was walking one day and saw this young (about 3 foot tall) 'Night-blooming Cereus' with it's red seeds and spent blossoms. Those dried blossoms looked so interesting I just had to sketch them. The spines are very small on this cactus.

I could not resist inverting the image because I always wonder what colors will appear. Isn't this a beautiful lavendar?
Happy Cactus Monday!

Here it is! My California car duster.
The duster part is 100% cotton which is impregnated with a special parafin so it not only removes the dust, it gives it a slight shine. And with a black car, yup I need the shine.
The bottom part of the duster does get dirty-looking but it is guaranteed to never scratch the car.
Arizona is a very dusty area with only (average) 12 inches of rain in a year so there is no problem with creating mud as in some states.
My neighbor told me about this duster and I faithfully dust my car every morning which takes about 5 minutes to do, and one minute to admire the shine. My house doesn't even get dusted that much! :) Being a new car, I keep it as clean inside as outside. Hmm, a little OCD?
I got it at Walmart for about $10 and well worth it.
Yes Margaret, you need one lol.
